Latin/Caribbean Percussion
Latin Percussion is an incredibly diverse and deep musical world, with each instrument involved having its own complex history, patterns, and playing styles, but all harmonize together to form a singular, unique and unified sound. Caribbean Percussion is its own separate world, but functions in a similar way, creating an "engine room" that drives the band forward. Many times, Latin Percussion, Caribbean Percussion, and their playing styles are mistaught or underrepresented, especially in school and collegiate instances. With over 6 years experience playing in Latin Jazz combos, Big Bands, and Steel Bands, Wil can teach you how to play, learn, and listen to these styles!
